I gotta say, I will back him up!
I initially started drinking a basic Bulletproof Coffee about a year ago. I had just sworn off sugar for life (how dramatic does that sound!?) and had the pleasure of briefly working with Crosby Tailor (creator of the blog Tailord Life). He really was the person who got me hooked on fats and not afraid of them, so thanks for that, C!
Over the course of the year, I started expanding my horizons and supercharging my coffee. I am now hooked on my particular recipe, because it really wakes my mind up pumps me up for my morning workout, all while making me feel balanced mentally.
But the part of it that really gets me excited is the mix of adaptogens I throw in there...
Cordyceps: Supports oxygenation of the body, mental power, athletic endurance, sexual energy, muscle tone and the immune system.
He Shou Wu: (I hate to play favorites, but I think she’s the one) It nourishes the blood, hair, skin, nervous system, sexual center, shen (spirit) and Jim (primary essence/life force). Talk about finding your inner babe...
Pine Pollen: Supports hormonal balance, enhances metabolism, increases libido, supports and detoxifies the liver. It also has been known to improve endurance.
I may be bias, but I gotta say, it really is the total BABE of all coffees. However, I encourage you to do your own research. This specific combo works for me, but that doesn’t mean it will work for you and THAT IS OKAY!
Now lets get to the goods…
Here is what goes into the Total Babe Coffee Tonic:
1 Tablespoon of MCT Oil (I use Bulletproof)
1 Scoop of Collagen Peptides (We know how much I dig Vital Proteins)
½ Teaspoon Cordyceps
½ Teaspoon of He Shou Wu
½ Teaspoon of Pine Pollen (I am loyal to Sun Potion)
Lots of Cinnamon
Optional: Liquid Monk Fruit to taste (I don’t always use this, but sometimes I like it sweet without getting that sugar spike!)
1) Combine all ingredients into a blender and blend on low. After about 10 seconds, carefully increase the power the medium/high and blend for another 15 to 20 seconds.
2) Pour into a mug and finish off with a dash or two of cinnamon.
